How To Obtain S2 For Cross Border Healthcare?

You need to start with your GP who needs to write a report, stating the reasons for asking for S2 for cross border healthcare.
As the procedure is in no way standardised and very few practical cases known to us as yet, you´ll have to take your lead from the health centre and might even have to educate them with the law in hand if they are not familiar with the European Directive at all.  A medical commission will evaluate the request / report from your GO and if permission is granted, they will inform you, your GP and the INSS so the latter can issue the actual S2 certificate.
