How Can Citizens Advice Bureau Spain Benefit You?

As an expatriate living in Spain; do you find that the Spanish bureaucratic system can be disconcerting? Have you discovered that the simplest of transactions are difficult to conclude? Find yourself searching for answers to problems only to discover that there is nowhere where you could find a solution? I am assuming that the answer is yes and that is why you are a member of our website and supporting our association .

Let’s get back to the benefits. “Yes indeed, how can CAB Spain benefit us?”

Learning: First of all we can empower you to take control of your destiny. We can help you by providing you with information which will allow you to make the right decisions. With us, you can learn how carry out most of your transactions using simple and economical methods. Learn to understand the rules and how to use them to your advantage. We can assist you in learning how to find the easiest path through complicated official procedures. Learn about the advantages available to expatriate residents enabling you to make savings. With the guidance of CAB Spain, you can learn how to substantially reduce expenditure.

Help: We are here to assist when you come up against barriers. We will help you when you cannot conduct simple duties, often due to a lack of knowledge of the language. To help you understand the system and at times to accept the differences and be successful with them. When you come across officials who ignore or break the rules or laws, we will help you to stand up for yourself. With our help, many of our members are now receiving free healthcare in Spain. We have also assisted those who were unable to take out residency status or finding it impossible to renew their old photo cards. Helped those who had no right to a pension from their home country, achieve one here.

We are on a daily basis tackling the problems caused by ignorance or misuse of the laws. You can read about some of our achievements which have been written to us by members showing their appreciation. These can be found on our testimonials tab.

Savings: In our first year we have already made savings of thousands of euros for our members. Savings are made on daily basis by answering questions that would have to otherwise have been sought by means of using lawyers, accountants, or other professionals. We continually make savings for members who contact us privately. Some with serious problems and we have mediated for them. Also with our advice, members are able to make considerable savings on their transactions.

We have made savings for members who in the future will be paying inheritance taxes; we achieve this by informing home owners on how to deal with inheritance tax issues. This will result in substantial savings. For example; we have assisted common law couples who otherwise would have paid considerable taxes on the demise of a partner. With the information provided by us, they will now have the same advantages and rights as traditional couples? For around twenty of these couples to date, the savings they will make will be in the region of 120.000 Euros.

Free: We offer a free service, (we have no funding which CAB UK and others have. Just like them we ask for donations) and members can contact us with queries on all matters including legal issues. We assist you on how and which forms to download free from the web to be used in tax declarations and other. We provide free fact sheets to all our members. These informative documents cover most topics which affect the lives of expatriates living in Spain. These are provided to assist all those who either live here, visit, investing, seeking employment, starting up businesses, and safely purchasing or selling a property. We assist in all aspects of relocation to Spain.

Availability: You have us at hand. We are contactable via our website, emails, telephone numbers, and Facebook. We are available on each weekday and in emergencies, 24 hours.

Citizens Advice Bureau Spain has the support of one of the best group of international lawyers in Spain.

Confidentiality: I would like to reassure members that all matters discussed in private messages, by telephone or emails with members of our team, are treated in the strictest confidence.
