What is a Certificate of Non Residence?

For the use of EU and non EU citizens who wish to for economic, social or professional reasons to accredit their nonresident status. (used for holding a nonresident bank account) can apply for a Ccertificate of nonresident. Can also be obtained to provide to any authority to prove that you are a nonresident visiting Spain (useful for traffic police). You can make your application using the EX15 which can be downloaded from the certificates and forms section. To certify a nonresidents status.

Documentation:
Application form on the official form (EX-15) , duly completed and signed in duplicate.
Copy of the passport , travel document or registration certificate or identity document if the applicant is a citizen of the Union.
Communication of economic, professional or social causes that justify the request.

PROCESS

Subject entitled to file the application : Must be filed in person.
Place of presentation :
Spain : The Foreigners Office or same at a Police Station of the Province (Town) where you have a domicile (address for nonresidents).

From outside Spain : in the diplomatic mission or Spanish consular office corresponding to their area of residence and addressed to the Commissioner General of Immigration and Borders.

The fees for processing the certificate : to be paid prior to the resolution of the procedure, are:
052 790 Model Code section 6.6 if processed in the Aliens Office or Model 012 if filed at the police station for an amount of EUR 7.03
Term and resolution of the application : five days of receipt of the application in the register of the competent body for processing.

Note* The police website states that this document is valid for three months.
