Summer School Activities Andalucia

The Andalucian government has announced the programme for the Summer School Activities, for the month of July. Aimed to increase the number of pupils moving on to the next grade, but also to compensate for the effects of the COVID-19 crisis and the difficulties some may have experienced while receiving alternative education.

What is offered?
Workshops to improve skills and attitudes associated with reading, mathematical reasoning and logic, and the acquisition of Linguistic skills in the English foreign language.
Includes the development of curricular activities with the use of motivating and active methodologies, as well as a daily time for carrying out recreational and sports activities that promote healthy habits.
Taught by active teaching staff of the Andalucian public education system.

Please make enquiries with the school of your child, if it isn’t participating in the programme, then you are entitled to apply with another one in your region.

Who can participate?
Primary and 1st and 2nd year Secondary (ESO) students enrolled in public schools and schools supported by public funds.
Depending on their grades for the first and second quarter, or their need to strengthen or reinforce the level of competence of their course, cycle or stage, or other situations included in the Resolution.

How do you apply?
The electronic application must be completed through the web portal of the Ministry of Education. For this, families will previously request a report of the educational team that justifies their need for participation and that will be completed in the Seneca-module by the tutor of the student. In the application you must choose if you want to participate in the first or second fortnight of July or both (priority will be given to students who participate the whole month).
