Renting Out Property For Holiday Purposes Canary Islands

Please note that although since the introduction of the law on Viviendas Vacacionales in 2015 renting out property for holiday purposes is now legal, the restrictions and requisites are thus, that in practice it is extremely difficult to comply.

Contrary to for example the Holiday Rental Law in Andalucia, you cannot start renting out your property as soon as you´ve filed the ´declaración responsable´ with the authorities, but you must wait till you receive notification (estimated 15 days). Until then, you can be sanctioned if you advertise or rent out your property.
