Information on where to drive, licence/permission, insurance etc. from the Trafico Guardias on the N332 webpage.

The latest instruction from the Traffic Department about mobility scooters, will not be applied to disabled people.

People with any disability using personal mobility scooter can continue using their vehicles on pedestrian areas, as long as they move at walking pace.

(Traffic Law. Art. 121- C)

On the other hand, those people without any disability, who want to use these vehicles to move around the city, must use them on the road and always inside the city limits, because they are considered an urban mobility solution.

These vehicles can only be used on the streets authorized by the local authorities, so don´t forget to ask the Local Police before using it.

If you want to move outside the city limits, you will need at least the AM licence, which allows you to use the following vehicles; mopeds, scooters and vehicles with a horsepower up to 45cc.

For using these mobility scooters you don´t need;

– Licence
– Insurance
– Registration
– Tax
– Technical Inspection
