As of 16 years you are allowed to work in Spain, but only re jobs on a contract that the parents are in agreement with, as long as the working hours are during the day, and the work is not considered detrimental to their health or development.

These conditions apply until you reach the age of 18.

You can only be self employed / Autonomo as of the age of 18. This means that children of those that are registered as Autonomos, are not allowed to work in the family business until they reach the age of 18 either, as they need to be registered as Autonomo to be able to legally do so.
