ITV Expired During State of Alarm - Info On Validity And Renewal

Extension of the automatic COVID-extension of the validity of the ITV Certificates.

There already was an automatic extension of the ITV certificates that expired during the State of Alarm: till 30 days after the end of the State of Alarm. Today’s publication in the State Gazette announces a further extension, with 15 days for each week from the start of the State of Alarm.

For your convenience: schedule from Veiasa, calculating with last day State of Alarm of 20.06.2020.

From VEISA, the Andalucian ITV authority earlier this week: They state that once they know the contents of the ministerial order, they will send each user affected by none (during State of Alarm) or cancelled appointments, an SMS informing them of the final date when the ITV test must be taken. It will then be the responsibility of the user to make a new appointment. The appointments cannot be made until the SMS has been received. Note from CAB: we suggest you just try.

Further from VEISA: Those whose ITV expired before the State of Alert (group 1) but had an appointment that was cancelled, will receive a call to be offered a new appointment. These are the users who were not able to benefit from the government’s moratorium allowing drivers to use their vehicles during the state of alarm without the risk of being sanctioned. Will be attended as priority.

The above periods will not apply to the validity of inspection certificates of agricultural vehicles intended for work in the field, which will be extended until November 10, 2020.

Completion of ITV cards and technical inspection certificates.
Once you have presented your vehicle for its test, the original expiration date will be the reference for the next renewal date, so in no circumstances will the COVID-extensions be taken into account.
