Is There Free Dental Care For Children In Spain?

Posted in: Health
Author: Richelle de Wit

Yes, if residents and in possession of their medical cards, the Seguridad Social provides free dental care to all children between 6 and 15 (in Andalucia – other regions may vary, as to the max. age).

Covered are twice yearly check-ups, protective treatments, extractions of ´milk teeth´, fillings in permanent teeth.

You can ask at your local health centre which dentists in your town are cooperating with the Seguridad Social and thus offering the free treatments.

You can also check the info provided by the Junta of your region.
