How Do I Obtain A Certificate Of Nonresidency?

You may receive notification in Spanish something like this:

CERTIFICACIÓN NEGATIVA RESIDENCIA EXPEDIDA MINISTERIO INTERIOR O TARJETA IDENTIDAD EXPEDIDA MINISTERIO ASUNTOS EXTERIORES

The bank is asking for a certificate of declaration of nonresidency. Some banks will provide this service at a small cost. If your bank does not, you will need to make an appointment at your office of the National Police ‘policia nacional’ and with your ID, photocopies, NIE and photocopy, make an application for the certificate.

Some banks will also accept your last nonresident tax declaration.O ‘DECLARACIÓN DE NO RESIDENTE’
