Education System Spain

Below the Spanish terms for the various stages of Education in Spain. If you Google the term and add the name of your Autonomous Region, the relevant info will come up.

Educación Infantil (3-5 yr)  (pre-school)

Educación Primaria (6-12) (Primary School)

Educación Secundaria (13-16) (Secondary School – 4 yrs)

Educación Bacchillerato (17-18) (Post-secondary school. One or two years, prepping for University or for ´Grado´s´)

Formación Profesional Básica (start with 15 to 17)

Formación Profesional Grado Medio (Professional Education – will provide you with title of ´Tecnico´ in the field you´ve studied)

Formación Profesional Grado Superior (Professional Education – will provide you with title of ´Technico Superior´ in the field you´ve studied)

Educación Universitaria (University Education)

Educación para Adultos (Adult Education)
