Most Autonomous Employment Agencies renew the jobseeker registrations ‘demandante de empleo’ automatically, many till the 31st of December so that visits to the offices can be avoided (for those without electronic ID).
Keeping this registration active and in date is a pre-requisite to receive ERTE or regular unemployment benefits.
Please check a couple of days before your renewal is due, for notices on the respective websites to this effect.
