“List of countries and areas that require a diagnostic test for active SARS-CoV-2 infection with a negative result from passengers coming from them as a requirement to enter Spain
Countries of the European Union / European Economic Area.

This measure will come into force November 23. Tests should be made 72 hours before arrival. The document should be the original and in English or Spanish. Can also be presented electronically.

When the Form has not been completed electronically, through the QR code generated through the website www.spth.gob.es or the Spain Travel Health-SpTH application, it may be submitted in paper format before boarding. In this case, it must be accompanied by the original document certifying the performance of the diagnostic test.

Travel agencies, tour operators, air or maritime transport companies and any other agent that sells tickets must inform passengers of the obligation to have a PCR with a negative result in order to travel.

The ruling states all travelers making no distinction to residents of Spain “Passengers arriving in Spain by air or sea must undergo a temperature control, which will be carried out routinely in order to identify travelers with fever. A temperature equal to or greater than 37.5 oC is established as the detection limit.
Taking the temperature should be done using non-contact thermometers or thermal imaging cameras. Personal data and images captured by thermal imaging cameras will not be stored, and the passenger’s privacy must be guaranteed at all times“.
