Autonomo Cuota Frozen For January 2017 – Increase Per July

UPDATE 6.6.2017  The State´s General Budget has been approved on the 30th of May and included is an increase of 3% of the Autonomo Base Minima de Cotización, so the minimum base salary over which the monthly cuota of over 80% of all self employed in Spain is calculated. Resulting in a monthly increase of 8 euros, 96 euros/year of their Autonomo contribution.

On a more positive note: part of the General Budget has been allocated to finance the amplification of the Tarifa Plana, the 80% discount for newly registered Autonomos during to the first 6 months – to 12 months. It is expected that this measure will be implemented this June or July.

January 2017: Until the State´s General Budget has been approved, the 2016 cuota for Autonomos remains frozen – at least for January, possibly February as well.

For the majority of Autonomos who pay contribution over the minimum ´base reguladora´ the monthly contribution remains at 267, 04 euros. When the new budget has been approved, this is expected to increase by 2 to 3 percent.

The monthly cuota for Autonomos Societarios (Autonomos that are (part) owner of and working in or for a ´sociedad mercantil´ like an S.L.) does not remain the same as in 2016 however, they experience an increase of 8% (as a direct consequence of the increase of the Minimum Wage for 2017) resulting in a cuota of 344,69 euros/month for those paying contribution over the minimum base.
