Am I Entitled To Bereavement Benefits?

Losing your husband, wife or partner. It is worth knowing thqt you may be eligible for bereavements from the UK.

Deadline
You can claim Bereavement Payment up to 12 months after your husband, wife or civil partner dies.

You should claim within 3 months if you’re also claiming Widowed Parent’s Allowance or Bereavement Allowance.

Currently these benefits include as one off bereavement payment of up to GBP 2000. The allowance and a widowed parent allowance, all of these which can be claimed on a single form: BB1. The form can be downloaded here.
