2019. In 1177 towns and cities the catastral values have been reviewed and adjusted, resulting in either an increase (728 towns) or a decrease (449 towns). Only valid for ´urban´ properties.
Towns can ask for their catastral values to be reviewed, before the 31st of May of any year, for the government to approve in the final quarter of the year and the exact percentages to be published in the General Budget for the year following that. At least 5 years must have passed since the last evaluation and there must be consistent proof of commercial values of the town´s properties having gone down or up. Increases can not amount to more than 5%.
Complete list of affected towns, published by ABC newspaper, with the corresponding % increase or decrease. Ordered by province, so just use the arrows at the bottom of the list at the top of the page to scroll through to yours.
Naturally, this year’s IBI invoice will reflect these adjustments, where applicable.
