Is There A Subsidy Available When Purchasing Electric Vehicle?

Yes, there is, for commercial vehicles, electic motorbikes, motorcycles and pushbikes with electric support motor.

It´s regulated in the Plan de Impulso al Medio Ambiente (PIMA) Aire 3, as approved by Central Government in March 2014.

UPDATE 20.4.2015 Published in BOE that for 2015 the subsidies will be available as well. Info and catalogue on the MOVELE website.

UPDATE 26.06.2017  The Government has approved a new subsidy programme, called Plan MOVEA 2017 which will offer another series of subsidies. The window to apply lasts till the 15th of October or as long as the total amount of 14,26 million euros has not been exhausted.
