Brexit – Any Effect on Dual Taxation Agreement UK-Spain?

No, to the best of our knowledge and interpretation of the agreement currently in force, the dual taxation agreement will not be affected by Brexit. There is no mention of EU membership or EU Member states´ It is an agreement solely between Spain and the United Kingdom.

So the RENTA (Tax declaration) with regards to declaring government pensions to determine the rate of tax to pay over your other income, taxable in Spain. This came into force on January 1st, 2015, will continue for the tax year 2016 and following years.
