Subsidies for residents of the Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Ceuta and Melilla.
Identity requirement: valid ID or passport. Residence accreditation: if there has been no SARA validation in the purchase of the ticket, certificate issued by the town hall in which the interested parties have their residence, containing the data indicated in Annex I of Royal Decree 1316/2001 of November 30 , which regulates the discount on the rates of regular air and sea transport services for residents in the Autonomous Communities of the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands and in the Cities of Ceuta and Melilla. If you are a Spaniard under 14 years of age and do not have a DNI or passport, only the registration certificate issued by the town hall in which you reside.
Citizens of third countries (other than the countries mentioned in section 1.) who are family members of citizens of Spanish, EU, EEA or Swiss nationality. These people must comply with the following:
reside (registered) in the Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Ceuta or Melilla, and
be a family member of a citizen (Spanish, EU, EEA or Switzerland).
Identity requirement: Valid Spanish Foreigner Identity Card stating that you are a family member of a citizen of the Union. Refugees
Those residents with a Foreigner Identification Card (TIE), with “ASYLUM” or “SUBSIDIARY PROTECTION” permission, will be entitled to the bonus on air transportation for non-peninsular residents and members of large families established in the thirteenth provision of Law 17/2012. British citizens who have exercised their right to residence in Spain before the end of the transitional period and continue to reside after this period and who meet the conditions to be beneficiaries of the
Agreement on the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from Great Britain and Ireland are entitled to obtain discounts on regular, sea and air transportation for residents in the Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Ceuta and Melilla.
The accreditation of the status of residents in the territories of the Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Ceuta and Melilla, of the beneficiaries of the Agreement, for the purposes of obtaining the transport subsidies provided for will be produced by one of the following means:
The residence document provided for of the Withdrawal Agreement or the certificate of registration thereof. For those who have not requested or obtained said document, the certificate from the Central Registry of Foreigners or certificate of permanent residence, accompanied by a valid and current national identity document or passport.
If you are a member of the Congress of Deputies or the Senate and there has been no SARA validation when purchasing the ticket, you may prove your resident status by presenting the credential of the corresponding Chambers, which includes, in addition to your name and surname, , the national identity document and the constituency of the elected Representative or Senator.
In the case of residence accreditation, this will be done through the SARA platform at the time of purchasing the ticket. If a positive telematic accreditation is not produced, it will be necessary to prove yourself as a resident by displaying the documents described in the section “conditions that I must comply with” during check-in or boarding in order to use your subsidised ticket.
When the passenger cannot be correctly accredited as a beneficiary, with the required documentation before the airline staff, at check-in or boarding, he or she will not be able to use the subsidized ticket.
Subsidies for large families
To be a beneficiary of this subsidy you must have documentation that proves it:
The documentation will be the Official Large Family Title or Individual Document issued by the corresponding Autonomous Community, in force, and the DNI or equivalent document. If you are under 14 years of age and do not have such a document, the date of birth must be noted on the ticket.
