Citizens Advice Bureau Registered as an ONG

Citizens Advice Bureau Spain, is now registered in the directory of associations by the Junta de Andalucia. ‘Directorio de Asociaciones as a ‘Organización sin ánimo de lucro’ ‘ONG’ (NON PROFIT ORGANISATION)

It has been a long road but we have to take into consideration that we are only just over a year old. The next step is the receipt of our fiscal number which will be published on the website.

As a NPO we rely on your support. We have incurred many expenses to date. We can now go ahead and find ways to obtain funding. We are hoping for the generosity of our members who we assist and make saving for on a daily basis.

One of the ways you can help us to help you, is to register as a heart member on our website. (out of around 1013 who have registered to date, 992 have registered as free members and some are not yet members. There is also the facility to donate, no matter how big or small we appreciate any donations.

Volunteering can be interesting and of course rewarding. Do not worry if you believe that you cannot take a position as an adviser as there are many ways you can help us. There is no pressure as you can assist when and how you can.Setting up surgeries will become a way forward to meet our members and discuss their problems face to face. Volunteers could help us with this and also with any fund-raising.

Our members are aware of the savings we have made for many and continue to do so on a daily basis. This we do by providing accurate information, correcting professionals mistakes, assisting so there is no need to contract a professional in many cases.

CAB Spain now will ask its members to provide ideas for raising funds to pay for such things as our seminars (we have already held two free seminars) the expenses of running an association including phone calls and much more. There will be a fundraising link under events. We hope members will join us on the page. Our third seminar will be held in the autumn at Mazarron Murcia.
