What is the employment report and what is it for?

It is a report issued free of charge by the General Treasury of Social Security that collects, in chronological order, all the employment history altas and bajas situations of a citizen in the different Spanish Social Security regimes, as well as the number of days he/she has been registered, the specific dates of each data variation and various information related to those situations.

In addition, the report specifies the total number of days effectively computable for the economic benefits of the Social Security System. It serves, therefore, to check the days contributed by a worker in Social Security.

The information on the situations indicated does not include data relating to the special regimes of civil servants of the State, the Armed Forces and officials in the service of the Administration of Justice, or data relating to periods worked abroad.

In addition to consulting the data, the work life report allows you to accredit them, as well as detect erroneous or omitted information.

What sections does the working life report include?

The report identifies the regime in which each contribution period is framed (general, self-employed, agricultural…), the concept for which it has been contributed – the company or one of the situations assimilated to the registration, such as unemployment benefit or paid and unused vacations -, the date on which the discharge occurred and the day from which it began to take effect and the date of the sick leave and the day from which the obligation to contribute ended.

Likewise, the report indicates the modality of the employment contract (full-time, part-time…), the percentage of the usual working day of the company in the case of part-time contracts, and the contribution group (the professional category associated with the work). Finally, collect the number of days that the worker has been discharged.

The report includes a section of explanatory notes to facilitate the understanding of its content.
