Periods for the renewal of expired TIE for those protected under the withdrawal agreement these residency cards can be renewed one month before expiry dates and up to three months after expiry date, but this is without prejudice to the corresponding administrative sanction which means that submitting the application within the three months after expiration does not exempt the applicant from potential penalties. In other words, while the application will still be accepted, the authorities may impose a sanction for not renewing the document on time.
The application to renew the residence document under Article 18.4 of the Withdrawal Agreement must be accompanied by the following documents:
A valid and current passport of the applicant. If the passport has expired, a copy of it and the renewal application must be provided.
Completed EX23 and copy.
Tasa 790-012. Proof of payment of the fee for processing the application.
A photograph that meets the requirements established in the regulations for the national identity document.
Also a padron certificate dated within three months if there has been a change of address.
