RENFE Discount on Long Distance, Avant and Conventional Medium Distance Travel

40% discount on General / Base Rate. This discount is applicable every day in all classes and trains.
In general it will not be necessary to accredit the age of the child, although during the trip when there is reasonable doubt about the age of the child, the accompanying adult may be asked to produce an official document certifying the child’s age.
Children under 4 years old who do not occupy a seat travel free.
Children under 4 years sharing a seat with an anyone over 4 years told also travel free.
In the AVE, Long Distance and Avant trains, children under 4 years sharing a place and travel free, must have the corresponding “free child ticket.”
Regardless of age, if children share a seat, seats, beds or bunks can only be occupied by a maximum of two people.
Tourist bed sharing will only be permitted in family mode, i.e. when both spaces are filled by people from the same group.
