More Expats Allowed to Vote in Spanish Municipal Elections

BOE Publication of October 1st, 2014, publishing updated list of countries that signed an agreement with Spain re the participation of their nationals in the Spanish local elections.

As well as citizens from EU countries, expats from the following countries, registered as residents in Spain, can register on the census of their Town Hall so they can participate in municipal elections:

Bolivia, Cabo Verde, Colombia, Corea, Chile, Ecuador, Iceland, Norway, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago and New Zealand.
