The Certificado de concordancia” is for those citizens who have acquired Spanish nationality.
This certificate can be applied for at either the offices of extranjeria or your local foreigners office of the National Police station.
The certificate serves to prove that once acquired your Spanish citizenship, that the data used previously is the one and same person who now holds a DNI.
This certificate can be used at:
The tax office
Social Security.
Town Hall Padrón office.
Police.
Notary (for those who have purchased a property using the NIE.
Traffic offices (DGT)
Banks.
Private entities.
All administrative offices.
