Morocco a member of the Hague Conference since 1993 The country is also party to five of the Hague Conventions, on August 14 of this year the sixth convention has come into force. The Hague Convention of October 5 196. The Apostille Convention entered into force which abolishes the requirement of legislation for foreign public documents.

Morocco – Competent Authority (Art. 6)
In accordance with Article 6, paragraph 2, of the Convention, the Kingdom of Morocco designates the local authorities in the provinces and prefectures connected to the Ministry of the Interior as the authorities who by reference to their official function are competent to issue the certificate referred to in Article 1, paragraphs b, c and d, of the Convention.
