PIMA Aire 4, New Subsidy Programme Vehicles

Plan de Impulso al Medio Ambiente «PIMA Aire 4» contains grants for the acquisition of commercial vehicles, vehicles that use gas for combustion, and bicycles with pedal assist by electric motor.

Amounts vary from 1.000 euros for a commercial vehicle under 2.500 kg, to 20.000 euros for vehicles over 18.000 kg and 200 euros for bicycles. For the heavier vehicles, on top of the government´s grant, the manufacturer, seller or importer offers another one.

Plan PIMA Aire 4 is similar to Plan PIVE in that the grants are for new vehicles and that for each new sold vehicle, a similar one, from before 2007, in name of same person, must be taken from circulation (baja definitiva).

As for the bicycles, they must have a lithium battery and a unique identification number.
