Gibraltar Commercial Vehicles Operating in Spain Will Need a Permit or Employment Contract

CAB Spain note*. Unfortunately Gibraltar is not included in the agreement on road haulage, Interbus or the ECMT permit under the Withdrawal Agreement. We hope an agreement to suit both Gibraltar and Spain will be reached as soon as possible.

The Government has been informed that the drivers of Gibraltar registered commercial vehicles operating in Spain have been given notice that they will need a permit, or an employment contract in Spain, to continue doing so after 1 March 2022. This has come about as a consequence of Gibraltar’s departure from the European Union and the end of the transition period.
