Museums Run by Ministry of Culture and Sport Free Entry until 31 July 2020

The State museums managed by the Ministry of Culture and Sport will open to the public on Tuesday 9 June during standard opening times and offer free entry until 31 July. Visits will be allowed individually or as a family group to the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions. Group visits will be resumed when the de-escalation process concludes.

The museums will temporarily adapt their exhibitions and reduce the number of rooms that can be visited in order to offer safe and quality visits capable of guaranteeing compliance with the prevention measures and recommendations from the Ministry of Health. Furthermore, the temporary exhibitions that were open before the crisis are being extended. Click here for all the necessary information about visiting these museums.

Located in seven cities, the following museums will be reopening their doors to the public: National Archaeological Museum, National Museum of Decorative Arts, Sorolla Museum, National Museum of Anthropology, Cerralbo Museum, National Museum of Romanticism and Museum of the Americas (in Madrid); National Museum of Roman Art (in Mérida, Badajoz); Altamira Museum (in Santillana del Mar, Cantabria); National Museum of Underwater Archaeology (ARQVA) (in Cartagena, Murcia); El Greco Museum and Sephardic Museum (in Toledo); González Martí National Museum of Ceramics and Decorative Arts (in Valencia); and National Museum of Sculpture and Casa de Cervantes Museum (in Valladolid).
