Caixabank Commissions as from 1.10.2020

Info from FACUA-Consumer Organisation.

Caixabank has announced that as of October 1 it will begin to apply a commission of 60 euros per quarter to its checking accounts, although it has indicated that it will apply reductions to said amount based on additional services (direct debit of wage slips, insurance, pension plans, etc.) that users contract with the entity.

In this sense, the association warns that the new commission policy that Caixabank plans to apply worsens the conditions to maintain a current account, and forces users to have to purchase other services, with their corresponding costs and also reducing their ability to pay.

Naturally, when you are not in agreement with the new commissions, you can research the conditions for similar accounts with other entities and move your business to the bank of your choice.

Info from our website re Basic Bank Accounts with commissions capped at 3 euros/month that should still be available as well.
