Speaks: Trilingual - Dutch / English / Spanish
A Dutch national, Richelle moved with her partner to rural, inland Spain in early spring of 2001 and almost immediately got pregnant, the best way to integrate into Spanish society!
Whilst living in the Netherlands she used to work as a financial controller for a television/drama production company and was responsible for contracts and insurances. Richelle has a profound interest in the workings of the law.
After a lengthy period of de-stressing, Richelle decided upon a complete change of career and took up baking as a hobby. She is now a self-taught artisan patisserie and bread baker. Richelle spends her time baking on a regular basis for expats and for a high standing local restaurant. She also likes to grow food for her small family to enjoy and is a creative cook, inspired by many different cuisines.
Joining CAB Spain in the early days, Richelle took an interest in the aims of the group and offered to volunteer and make herself useful by assisting Myra who, in turn aids so many others, where accurate advice, information and assistance is so clearly needed.
“I actually quite enjoy researching Spanish and European law texts and ´translating´ them into comprehensive info for group members or just to function as a sounding board for Myra”
Citizens Advice Bureau Spain is appreciative of the time and skills Richelle brings to the organisation and is delighted to have a expat from The Netherlands in the team.
