Plan MOVES II

Plan MOVES II, the program of incentives for efficient and sustainable mobility.

The funds will be distributed among the Autonomous Regions and they will announce when the subsidies can be applied for. Strict first come first get system so keep an eye on the local press and the website of your autonomous government. Or visit a dealer now and ask them to advise you. I’m sure it will be in their interest to keep a list of interested clients. The Autonomous Governments will also supply the forms to apply.

Private individuals, so not Autonomos or business owners, who buy a vehicle covered by the programme after the Royal Decree has come into force, so as of the 17th of June, will be able to apply for the subsidy for a maximum of 1 vehicle per person.
All others, so self-employed Autonomos, businesses, communities of owners etc. need to apply first, buy after they’ve received positive confirmation of their application. Subsidy is possible for a maximum of 20 vehicles. You’ll get paid after having provided proof of purchase of the relevant vehicles.

What is subsidised:
a) Action 1: Acquisition of alternative energy vehicles.
b) Action 2: Implementation of infrastructure for recharging electric vehicles.
c) Action 3: Implementation of electric bicycle loan systems.
d) Action 4: Implementation of sustainable mobility measures at work.

Subsidy amounts:
Vary from 600 euros for an electric bicycle to 15.000 for a vehicle category M3 or N3. Extra subsidy if you own another vehicle, matriculated in Spain before 2013, that is scrapped and replaced by the new vehicle. For the purchase of vehicles adapted for disabled, provided the adaptation is included on the ‘Ficha Tecnica’ there is an additional subsidy, compatible with the extra ‘scrap’ subsidy. Further info in Anexo III of this publication in the State Gazette.

If the subsidy amount exceeds 3000 euros, you’ll need to provide proof that you are not in debt with the Tax Agency and/or the Seguridad Social.

To receive the subsidy you need to be ‘titular’ of the bank account you have provided.
